Performance Proposal "Low Rider Heartbeat Project"

It is evident through popular growth that the Latino population will soon override as majority. I think this projection is a beautiful progression of America that will help to landmark change and progress. About 20 Low Rider vehicles will snake through cities with a concurrent heartbeat running through the speaker system of each car. I will be in the middle car broadcasting the heartbeat from a laptop computer to an fm station that all the cars will tune in and blast. This great blast of a heartbeat will fill the streets with massive bass and into the bodies and hearts of nearby humans.

 

 

Installation Proposal “Migration”

My vision consists of 2500 to 4000 digital alarm clocks all hanging from the ceiling in a dark warehouse. In groupings of different sizes the hanging clocks will take the identity of birds and flocks. Each flock will consists of a different clock model, each blinking in harmony, I envision the clocks to transcend their physical presence into beautiful light flapping objects with immediate reference to flocks of birds. Some of the clock sizes will be much smaller in scale to promote a greater sense of depth within the space or rather between flocks.
