Thread from the past
I remember my grandmother on winter evenings using a drop spindle. It was peaceful to watch her hands move, slowly turning fiber into thread. I recreated this tool in clay to hold onto that quiet moment. It no longer functions, just as that time in my life has passed. Today, many tools like this have become obsolete, replaced by faster, modern alternatives. What was once part of everyday life is now fading into memory. This piece connects my personal past with that larger sense of disappearance.
