This abacus once calculated celestial cycles, the weight of memories, and the intervals between ritual signals. With time, its original function faded, but its form remained as a sacred object and a recollection of another life. The beads are now touched not for counting, but as a silent transmission from the beginning of civilization to us and from us to a future beyond our imagination.
